Pure Epoxy

Maximum chemical resistance for the most demanding industrial environments.

Product Overview

Oracle Pure Epoxy coatings provide the highest level of chemical, solvent, and corrosion protection available in the powder coating category. Designed for pipelines, chemical process equipment, medical devices, and any substrate exposed to aggressive chemicals.

Key Features

  • Outstanding resistance to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents
  • Excellent adhesion to blast-cleaned steel surfaces
  • High film build in a single coat - 80-120 microns
  • Exceptional cathodic disbonding resistance

Where Pure Epoxy belongs

Pure epoxy is the chemical and corrosion specialist. It carries the highest salt spray figure of the four chemistries Oracle manufactures and the best resistance to acids, alkalis and solvents. It is also the least ultraviolet stable, which confines it to service where appearance under sunlight is not part of the specification.

Specify Pure Epoxy for

  • Pipes, valves, fittings and pressure vessels in chemical service
  • Tanks, sumps and enclosures exposed to acids, alkalis or solvents
  • Buried, boxed-in or otherwise concealed steelwork where corrosion life governs
  • Electrical enclosures and switchgear requiring dielectric strength
  • Rebar, structural steel and marine components inside enclosed structures

Do not specify it for

  • Any exterior or daylight-exposed surface, where it chalks quickly
  • Decorative work where long-term gloss retention is part of the brief

What the test reports show

Oracle report OI/QC/EP/2026-0151 covers a dead matt pure epoxy on aluminium with seven-stage pre-treatment: 1000 to 1300 hours salt spray to ASTM B117, 800 to 1000 hours humidity, gloss 5 to 8 GU at 60 degrees, adhesion 5B, Erichsen 5 mm or better. Film thickness is 75 to 80 microns.
